IT’S been a busy time for us here at BCA with three contracts to run, and our Extended Access and Primary Care Streaming services gathering pace towards full capacity. We are committed to delivering on all these, while continuing to support the great strides made with all partners across the city in our Primary Care Home Communities. To ensure this, we have strengthened the platform on which to build for the future in a number of key ways.
FOLLOWING an increase in our team, we have refreshed our Board roles, systems, and our Governance Framework to ensure all services are running smoothly.
This also paves the way for the Board to spend more time looking for opportunities for our practices.
We know many of you will have already met Frances O’Sullivan, Project Manager, and Saiuqa Raney, Operations Manager, and thank you for the welcome and support you have given them.
They are already valuable members of our team and we appreciate your engagement with them in running the best services we can.
Greater GP involvement in Planned Care is becoming increasingly likely and we are working hard on behalf of you all to push this agenda.
Pathways and services are being reviewed with our input and we hope to be able to bring you news of some more concrete projects soon.
GPwSI-led services in the community should continue to have many positive benefits to our patients and we are working hard with the various Programme Boards to bring this to fruition.
For example, Paediatrics, Dermatology, ENT and Ophthalmology are all on our radar and we are working with the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to reduce pressure and configure an improved service.
We will be looking to all our members for input here, and to gather levels of interest from practices.
We also need to understand where specialists in specific areas exist, so we can do any necessary workforce planning.
This will form part of our next Engagement Event, but please do not hesitate to contact any of us if you have a Practitioner with a Special Interest in your practice who is keen to become more involved. contactus@bradfordcarealliance.org
