WE have an exciting opportunity across our practices to deliver some additional savings working in partnership with Prescribing Support Services. These could amount to approximately £500,000 – money that would be ploughed back into primary care.
OUR partnership will look at current prescribing in a number of key clinical areas and identify recommendations to make prescribing better value for money.
Support would be provided to practices with trained pharmacists -and we expect the total savings could be in the order of £500,000.
This would give us a real opportunity to invest this considerable saving into primary care.
You should be receiving a letter from me in the next day or so (or it may have arrived in the interim!) providing more detail about this opportunity, which I hope you will all embrace.
