I BELIEVE in our capability – and that is especially true in Bradford. I continually meet amazing GPs working really hard to make things better and I would like to see your membership organisation, Bradford Care Alliance, support you to do more.
I believe in the strength and breadth of our professional body and I want to consolidate that position, not weaken it.
We are responsible for the medical care of our registered patients – the only time we relinquish this is when they are an in-patient in a hospital. We often share this responsibility. We have a great opportunity to shape this care with our partners in the healthcare system.
We can all replay instances in the recent past whereby changes haven’t landed or been sustained and we need to learn from these and move forward with a clear purpose and conviction.
To this end, if we drive the change, I believe we can deliver the best outcomes for the system as a whole.
